Darwin Daze

DarwinRockSitters

Chronicling the Top End for over 40 years, there isn’t much Baz Ledwidge’s camera hasn’t snapped. Moving to Darwin in 1974, Ledwidge has documented its epic events, from the aftermath of Cyclone Tracy to the small larrikin activities of the Darwin Rocksitter’s Club. Darwin Daze comprises a selection of 35 photographic prints that are an insight into the characters and lifestyle of a city and region that moves to its own unique beat. Rather than the detached observer, the exhibition is a poignant look at a city, inviting the viewer to be privy to Ledwidge’s personal gaze of the city.
