Slowing Down Time
Starting with the premise of slowing time down, this exhibition evolves over four weeks as each week one artist contributes a response to the existing works in the gallery. All working in different media – textile and sculpture, choreography and moving image – the installations will interact with the space of the gallery.
The progressive nature of the exhibition encourages the audience to return each week to revisit installations and engage with the new. Common inspiration for the four artists is attentiveness to the materiality of everyday life such as gestures, domestic scenes, thread and furniture, whilst this is a controlled starting point the end result is sure to be anything but.
