Indigenous Arts Festival
Beginning in June this year, the NSW South Coast is opening what is set to become an annual landmark event. The Wollongong Indigenous Arts Festival celebrates the broad range of arts including dance, film, music, literature and food. Hosted by the Wollongong Art Gallery, the festival aims to create an active dialogue about Indigenous arts across Australia, delivering panel talks, presentations, workshops and live performances. Running in tandem with the festival is the Lord Mayor’s BlueScope WIN Illawarra & South Coast Aboriginal Award, which will open 6 June. Both the Art Award and Festival are set to showcase the richness of Indigenous art.
