Encountering Gallipoli

Despite its geographical distance from Australia, Gallipoli holds great relevance and connection in contemporary Australian history. Linked by personal stories and histories to the battles at Gallipoli, each of the 16 artists journeyed to Turkey to explore and respond to the immediate and historical landscape. As we get closer to celebrating the ANZAC legend and the centenary of the Gallipoli campaign in 2015, here are few snapshots that were inspired by the enlightening and very personal trip.
