Your Friend the Enemy documentary
| May 12, 2015
In this preview of the Your Friend the Enemy documentary, by Bruce Inglis, meet some of the artists involved as they first encounter the surrounds of Gallipoli. Artists Idris Murphy, Euan Macleod, Amanda Penrose Hart and Luke Sciberras discuss their efforts to create and respond to a landscape heavily imbued in history and emotion. A poignant look at Gallipoli, Idris Murphy takes us on a personal journey as he interprets Gallipoli through his grandfather’s letters, learning of the battles he faced and against the odds, survived. Taking notes with their brushes, in this film the artists explore the terrain shaped by a past that devastated it and Australian hearts 100 years ago.
