Come dine with Artist Profile and Euan Macleod at Lucio’s Italian Restaurant
Celebrating our 30th issue in style, Artist Profile invites you to join us for a meal with Lucio Galletto at the eponymous Lucio's Italian Restaurant, Paddington, 11 March.
Lucio’s and Artist Profile will host a traditional Italian dinner facilitated by Editor Owen Craven in conversation with Lucio Galletto OAM, and artists Euan Macleod and Steve Lopes.
“As a young teenager I knew nothing about the world or life outside of my village. When I saw these artists …I found them fascinating, to me they were a window to the world. I wanted to know what the world was like outside our small village. I learnt a lot from those artists and in fact I still do nowadays – I love artists. For me first comes the artist and then the art!” Lucio Galletto OAM.
Featuring Lucio Galletto in our latest Issue 30, Artist Profile interviewed Lucio about the infusion of his two passions together – food and art in his latest book The Art of Traditional Italian.
A colourful restaurateur who has filled Sydney’s East with the smells and delights of Italian cooking since 1983, it is Lucio’s reputation for excellence in Italian food that has created a vibrant meeting point for Sydney’s art community.
Mixing food with art can only bring great things and Lucio’s involvement in the Australian art world has resulted in the restaurant serving as a mini gallery, lined with the works of established Australian artists.
This enduring friendship with the art community has culminated in Lucio’s new book The Art of Traditional Italian, with artists such as John Olsen, Gary Shea, Euan Macleod, Luke Sciberras adding flair and flavour with their talented illustrations.
There are 24 places available on Wednesday 11 March, 2015 from 7pm.
$120 for a 3 course set menu and wine. Plus a complimentary copy of Artist Profile Magazine.
