Know Your Materials
"Getting to know you
Getting to know all about you
Getting to like you
Getting to hope you like me..."
As Julie Andrews sang in The King and I, it is very important to “know all about you”. And in the case of an artist, art teacher or professional in the art industry, knowing their materials is instrumental to the success of their work.
In response to this, Winsor & Newton is organising a series of workshops in all major Australia cities that will provide accreditation in watercolour, acrylics and oil colour. Their goal? To educate and enable artists to better understand artist’s colours and the latest painting equipment of today. Whether it is how pigments are made, to what mediums are available, or for those who want to find out how they expand and improve their practice in innovative ways.
“As a teacher I’ve been learning
You’ll forgive me if I boast
And I’ve now become an expert
On the subject I like most”
Occurring across Australia, the workshop spaces are limited. To enrol and find out further information about which city and when click here.
And to put you in the mood as you enrol to get to “know your materials”, let the sweet tunes of Julie Andrews lead you on your way.
