The French Connection | Ron McBurnie + Euan Macleod
This exhibition arises from a friendship between these two artists and their travels together to create remarkable en plein air works in the beautiful mid-Pyrenees town of Alayrac, France.
The exquisite works on display at Janet Clayton Gallery conjure the allure of the French countryside and village environment, contrasting with the landscapes they have painted within Australia and New Zealand. Their unique aesthetic interpretations of the European landscape are sophisticated, romantic, inspired. This video takes to you the artists’ retreat that inspired the works in The French Connection.
