2015 Mosman Art Prize Finalists
In the lead up to the announcement next Tuesday 28 July, the 2015 finalists have been revealed.
In what is always a grueling judging process, 105 finalists were selected out of the 850 entries submitted this year. Guest Judge, Michael Rolfe and the Gallery’s Prize Coordinator, Katrina Cashman noted the impressive high standard of entries across all categories.
Established in 1947, the Mosman Art Prize is celebrating its 68th year as the longest running, and continuous municipal art prize in Australia. With a proud history of fostering some of Australia’s most renowned artists, the prize welcomes both emerged and established artists. An Annual acquisitive prize, the winning works form an impressive overview of the changing tides and developments in Australia’s history of contemporary and modern art.
